Situational Update: Southeast Weather Devastation and Ongoing Recovery Efforts

Date: Within the last 24 hours
Source: PKTF - External S2 Communications Wire System (Reliable)

Overview

The southeastern United States is experiencing catastrophic damage from Hurricane Helene, coinciding with a significant dock worker union strike set to begin, which will shut down most East Coast ports. A nationwide Verizon outage has also affected communications across the United States.

Communication Challenges

Cellular communications have been strained due to increased demand throughout the Southeast, leading to localized outages. The cause of this national outage remains undisclosed but is possibly unrelated to storm damage. The widespread telecom issues present an exceptionally vulnerable target for malicious actors, both foreign and domestic.

Dock Worker Union Strike

The International Longshoremen's Association (ILA) has initiated a strike at ports from Maine to Texas, marking the first such action since 1977. This strike could severely disrupt supply chains, creating shortages and increasing prices if prolonged. High-risk rail freight has already been halted to prevent hazardous materials from being stranded.

Impact on Logistics

The labor strike is expected to have catastrophic impacts on logistics, particularly in the already devastated American Southeast. East Coast ports being shut down, combined with the apocalyptic damage reported in the Southeast, could lead to a near-total breakdown of cargo operations.

Hurricane Helene's Devastation

In North Carolina, devastation remains at historic levels with potentially thousands missing. The Department of Transportation has urged everyone to consider all roads in Western North Carolina closed until further notice. Asheville, a major metropolitan center, has suffered severe damage with roads blocked or impassable. In Florida, the city of Okeechobee is under a state of de facto martial law as Chief of Police Donald Hagan signed a local state of emergency declaration nullifying the Second Amendment and banning ammunition sales.

Recovery Efforts

The North Carolina National Guard has deployed 500 soldiers and 200 aircraft and vehicles to aid citizens during this disaster. However, federal resources have been slow to flow into the region due to bureaucratic delays. Most recovery efforts are centered on Asheville, North Carolina, where 100,000 residents are without food and water.

Coordination by The Peacekeeping Task Force (PKTF)

The Peacekeeping Task Force is coordinating efforts to establish a robust communications network to mitigate future telecom failures during disasters. This initiative aims to ensure reliable communication channels for effective recovery and coordination efforts. Despite Florida not having an established published website for emergency contacts, The Florida Assembly does have an active PKTF Assembly Liaison in-training who assists in relaying critical situational details between PKTF, the Federation of States, and The Florida State Assembly in the meantime. Our offices have been able to contact each of the other American State Assemblies via their current website publication through either their direct Contact Section or Comments Section of their blog postings. Contact along these lines has been largely successful by all affected State Assemblies at this time. Although reaction time and ongoing communication threads are being improved for future encounters as we speak.

Importance of State Assembly Websites

Each American State Assembly having a versatile website with up-to-date emergency contact information is crucial for effective disaster response. As for other State Assemblies like The Florida Assembly at this time, the absence of such a resource has posed significant challenges for PKTF's coordination efforts.

Recent Developments

Governor Ron DeSantis announced that Florida secured a major disaster declaration for Hurricane Helene.

President Joe Biden plans to visit affected regions later this week without disrupting emergency services.

Vice President Kamala Harris will cut short a campaign trip to visit storm-ravaged areas.

Over 500 people have been rescued in North Carolina amidst severe communication challenges.

  3. Good Day from Florida!

We as members of The Florida General Assembly are always ready to respond to do our part. We hope and pray that in the coming weeks and months that we can prepare through our Florida State Militia and our county operations of MAA and County Reeves and deputies. Eventually we can become to fully active status. Our actual factual Florida State Guard can stand watch.

Any day, Ralph Moore the Florida Coordinator tells us that our robust website for The Florida State General Assembly will become active! With our PKTF Florida Assembly Liaison Office nearing completion as we finish up our Training Series #2, we are closer than ever. I got a call and an email about our new D10 Walkie Talkie Radios and how to purchase them. It has been recommended that we do not buy them one at a time. It is best if we can identify a status corrected Floridian who will be willing to coordinate this critical endeavor. I can tell you as a former Paramedic on Florida with many decades of experience that we are in the perfect position to decide to answer the call.

The duty to respond is a mindset. We are calling for Americans and no less Floridians who are ready, willing, and able to respond to consider this as you opportunity to start a new chapter in your lives. We can mitigate the risks. We an save lives, and prevent disabilities as our number one concern for so many that live here and visit The Sunshine State.

If you desire to answer the call to our Florida State Militia and our forming Border Guard Services, now is the time.

You can logistically support our honorable activities as our new Marshal at Arms, Tabatha Benton assumes her duties.

Luke Scott, as our Militia Pillar Chairman, is out of Florida til December.

I will be willing to temporarily facilitate and assist an interim militia commander. His or her response can be appropriate to the short term and/or long term needs through the PKTF-Florida Assembly Liaison Field Office and measured response of our Florida State Miltia, until Luke's return.

We need a temporary provision manager/officer for Florida Assembly Communications Coordination efforts. This individual can do group ordering of the GPS enabled D10 Walkie Talkie Radios. This individual can coordinate the group training classes that will need to be done very soon by manufacturing representatives and/or our Continental Marshall Service (CMS) communications service sponsors.

These efforts will be spearheaded by the PKTF and the Florida Assembly-PKTF Liaison Service management team.

This is our time to SHINE! Who's in?

How would you like to help?
Money, prayer, time, resources, and other logistical services.
It goes without saying that dozens and dozens of us have trained together to meet the needs of our people on Florida. This is what we trained for. As we continue to self-govern effectively and as we give our time and talent to worthy projects. The People of Florida have a much experience as any state with all of our annual Hurricaine Preparedness mindsets. We don't tend to leave. We prepare and have Hurricaine Parties!

Feel free to call or text me at 386-589-4000 or email me at paulrobertbowmanjr@proton.me. Leave as much of a detailed and supportive message as you can. The PKTF-Florida Assembly Liaison Office will do our best to serve by protecting you and your property in these trying times.

Note: We are not going to lose sight of our efforts as we are closing in on being fully seated in our 4 Pillars. We will help our Assembly GA and the sub-pillars to become qualified and we stand up and become ready to support you in your validation process for the Invocation of Ex-Parte Milligan.
