Announcing "First Light: The Mark Gregory Foreign Assemblies Journal"
The Peacekeeping Task Force (PKTF) is honored to announce the soon launch of First Light: The Mark Gregory Foreign Assemblies Journal—a new and exclusive blog dedicated to the voices, stories, and achievements of Foreign State Assemblies operating upon Land and Soil Jurisdiction. This initiative stands as a living tribute to Mark Gregory, the pioneering Liaison-in-Training from Terra Australis, whose recent passing has deeply touched the hearts of this peacekeeping organization!
Why "First Light"?
The title First Light was chosen to reflect Mark Gregory’s role as one from among many that stood out as a particular trailblazer. As one of the first Liaisons from Terra Australis to participate in the Peacekeeping Task Force’s interview and onboarding process, Mark helped illuminate the path for all future Foreign State Liaisons. His contributions were foundational, marking the dawn of a new era for intercontinental peacekeeping collaboration and helping to set the standard for those who follow.
Honoring Mark Gregory’s Legacy
Mark’s dedication and integrity were evident from the beginning. He was deeply committed to helping his Assembly gain recognition and was actively involved in PKTF trainings, even while facing significant health challenges. Sadly, after suffering a stroke in March this year, and a period of declining health, Mark passed away this June. His legacy, however, lives on in the processes he helped shape and the inspiration he provided to all who knew him.
A Platform for International Collaboration
First Light will serve as a dedicated platform for all Foreign State Assemblies to:

Share their peacekeeping initiatives and experiences with a worldwide audience.

Syndicate news, best practices, and success stories from assemblies worldwide.

Highlight the work of Liaisons and Assemblies committed to peace and lawful self-governance.

Honor lawful individuals whose service exemplifies the ideals of the Peacekeeping Task Force.
This journal will be the newest feature on PKTFnews.org, replacing the concept of original PKTF blog content and focusing exclusively on the work and stories of Foreign State Assemblies.
Upcoming Training and Outreach
We are pleased to announce that the launch of First Light will be discussed during our upcoming Series 2, 2025 Liaison Training, which resumes next month in August. All Liaisons-in-Training and those officially on, or in the process of being placed on, the service roster for their Foreign State Assembly will have the opportunity to learn more about the blog, its purpose, and how they can contribute to this intercontinental platform.
Additionally, we will be reaching out directly to the Terra Australis Assembly to further announce our plans to release this new blog in honor of Mark Gregory—one of their own, whose dedication and service have set a shining example for others to follow.
A Tribute to All Who Serve
We recognize that this blog is the very least we can do to show our deep appreciation for all those who work so hard—volunteering their precious time and limited resources—to ensure the self-governing responsibilities of their respective State Assembly are recognized. Your peaceful and principled efforts to achieve lawful self-governance are not only essential but deeply valued by all of us at the Peacekeeping Task Force. Through First Light, we hope to shine a bright and comforting spotlight on your own dedication to peaceful means and to foster greater overstanding and mutual respect for the peaceful means by which you pursue these important goals.
Invitation to Foreign State Assemblies
We warmly invite all Foreign State Assemblies to participate in First Light—to share your stories, celebrate your achievements, and honor the ongoing work of peacekeeping across the earth. Together, we continue the legacy of Mark Gregory, whose "first light" will guide and inspire this organization and your Assemblies for years to come.
